School and Show Choir Club

Yes, school. School started for us dolls on the 6th of September, the day after I made my blog. Almost two weeks ago. Nothing exciting has really happened since it's only the first month of school. Since I'm in the 6th grade, I'm also in middle school. Middle school is possibly the scariest experience ever besides high school. And of course, there are the groups. There's the high-maintenance girls that have to check their hair every 5 minutes and freak out if there is a bug on the floor. Then the jocks. They are the ones that tell people to go to football games, baseball games, basketball games, etc, and play every sport out there. Finally, there's the populars. They walk around the school and people bow down to them. If they tell you to do something, you do it. In public, they are the nicest, sweetest, kindest people out there. But if you happen to get cornered by one of them, they will tell you every single thing that is wrong with you, and right with them. I avoid this group at all costs but that's kinda of impossible to do because they are everywhere. In your classes, the hall your on, the club you're in, everywhere. While we are on the subjects of clubs, I have joined our schools show choir club! Well, I joined, but I'm not exactly 'in'. Tomorrow are the auditions and on Friday we will find out who got into show choir. After that, we begin to have regular practices on every Wednesday afternoon. It would be Tuesday but Mrs. Ricardo watches Glee and she can never miss an episode. On November 20, we have our district competition to see who goes on to state, then regional, then nationals. There is sadly no 'world championship' although that would be quite awesome. :) Rebecca's yelling at me to get off the computer so she can look at the new Yves St. Laurent items for fall. That girl i-

Shampain

"Drinking champagne to forget yesterday
Coz I remember, the way, the way, the way
It ended the day, the day, the day, the day
That I walked away, away, away, away

Drinking champagne, made by the angel
Who goes by the name of Glittering Gabriel
Drinking champagne made of an angel's
Tears and pain, but I feel celestial."

Ever since I saw the music video for this song, I have been singing it in my bedroom. It reminds of me and Claire's fun at the factory. After she was taken away that cold October evening, I went into a deep depression. To help cope with myself, I started writing my own songs to help forget everything about Claire. It was like me drinking champagne, just so I could become drunk and not rember anything about that horrible night. What ever I did never worked. I started having horrible nightmares about that day. The blonde girl with the glasses that stood in front of the case. I heard words like "red hair", "green eyes", "this one", "JLY #39", "which one", and "I'll get her". I was on the other side of the case so I didn't see what happened. But the girl walked around with Claire's box in hand. Tears started brimming in my eyes. I couldn't believe it. One of the other JLY #44's suggested that we switch boxes. I was in the front so if the girl came back to get #44, she would pick me. But she never did. She walked back to the register with an outfit in hand. Soon, Claire was in a bright red bag. The mom looked like she didn't really want her to get the doll. But she obviously let her. They walked out of the store and that's where the dream ends. I usually end up waking up saying, "No Claire, don't leave me." But she already did. I still have these nightmares.

This was a rather pointless post but I felt the need to. Bye.

Love,
Hayden

Selfishness

Sometimes I wonder how selfish a person can be. I finally learned today.

"BUT FELICITY! Why can't I get the new Marc by Marc Jacobs purse," Rebecca whined. A few days after I arrived, I learned that Rebecca is the drama queen if us dolls. And she deserves that title.
"Rebecca, you know why. The first reason is that the purse costs over $500. The second reason is that you wouldn't share it with your sisters. And I'm not buying a purse that expensive for just you," Felicity replied back.
"Yes I would, I would, I would!" Everybody knew she was lying. As soon as she got that purse, she wouldn't let it go.
"Rebecca, we all you know you too well. You would take that purse and growl at us if we even tried to look at it," Savannah said.
"I wouldn't do such a thing!"
"Oh, yes you would!"
"No. I. WOULDN'T!," Rebecca screamed. She stormed off to her pink, frilly, lace-filled bedroom. Everybody stared at each other for what seemed like hours. Finally, Elizabeth spoke.
Well, I have to go. Hanna said that she would take me to the park earlier for some pictures. Bye," Elizabeth told us. She went into her bedroom, preparing for "doll state" (that's where the human controls your movements). Mia was the next one to speak.
"I'm going ice skating with Anya and Amber at 4 so I have to go." She grabbed her skates from the accessories bin and walked out the doll room door.
"Bye Mia," I silently said, only loud enough for me to hear.
Slowly, one by one, dolls entered their rooms. I was left standing there in the middle of the room, alone once again. I slowly made my way to the end of the room, towards my own room. As I entered my room, I had a sudden urge to draw. I set up my easel and it all came out. I remembered the fight clearly. Rebecca was wearing her knee-high, brown suede Gucci boots. She had on her Old Navy trench coat, the only item she had that wasn't couture. Underneath was her favorite Yves St. Laurent blouse and her denim short-shorts. She smelled of Chanel No.19, and her curly hair fell around her shoulders. Felicity was standing across from her, her red hair pulled into a half ponytail. She wore the Petal Pink dress from AG and her mouth was in a defiant line. My other sisters were gathered around them, me in the corner. Savannah, Elizabeth, Julie, Katie stood in the front row of the scene. Behind them stood Marisol, Mia, and me. Rebecca had her arms raised and her mouth was open wide, yelling something at Felicity. I made the view as if you were standing in the back row with us, trying to see over Savannah's big head. Behind them sat the bins for doll accessories, shoes, and hats. I finished the drawing and took out my water colors. After an hour of coloring in the scene, I was finished. I had left a small space in the corner for my signature. I took the black paint and signed my name and titled the work. "Rebecca's Antics". I hung it up to dry in the clothes pins I had lined up on the wall. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands, struggling not to get paint on the doorknob. Once I came back to the room, I picked a book from my desk and sat down on my bed to read. I felt happy and none of Rebecca's antics could lessen that.

Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Hayden Julia but call me Hayden. I'm an American Girl doll and I'm a MAG #44. If you're an AG collector, you know what that is. I live with my 8 sisters and they are all preformers. My sisters are Marisol, Katie (JLY #23), Savannah (JLY #27), Mia, Rebecca, Julie, Felicity, and Elizabeth. My favorite color is aqua and I love to paint and sing. At the American Girl factory, I got "Best Soprano Voice" for 2010. Some other things about me are that I hate peaches, I love kittens, and snakes scare me so much! I also have a best friend that lives in Georgia. Her name is Claire and she's a JLY #39. She is gorgeous and my friend forever but we sadly got seperated. I have a page on my blog that gives you the full story of how we met and got seperated and the condensed version is in my "About Me". I hope you follow my blog because I have bunch of exciting stories to tell you! When they start to happen.

Love,
Hayden
