The Saddest News

Can this really be happening? It can't, it just can't...

Julie says that she overheard Hanna talking to her friends yesterday after we got Lanie's email.

"Guys, I don't know if I really want to keep Hayden. She pretty and everything, but we haven't made a 'connection'," Hanna said. "I think I might return her to AG." Julie says that her friends nodded in agreement.

"Of course, I'm going to keep Lanie once she gets here, but frankly, I know I'm NOT going to keep Hayden. She's going back." After that, Julie ran back to tell me but I was with my new friend from school, Maggie.

I learned this morning. So far, I've thought of this as good and bad. If I go back, then I will have to leave this family that I have known to grow and love. If I go back, I will have another chance at being with Claire. They might put me on a truck to the AG place in Atlanta. Ashley could decide, "You know? I REALLY want a MAG #44. I should get one!" According to Claire, Ashley does want a MAG #44. So there's a good thing about me getting returned! But there is also a lot of bad things.

I've also felt that me and Hanna never really made a connection. I think that she thought I was going to be her perfect doll, the one that she'll keep to give to her grandaughters. But I wasn't. I can't type anymore. Bye.

IT'S HERE!

Today, we received a recommendation form and email from our new Lanie. Here is the form:

Full Name: Lanie Payton Holland
Likes: Gardening, Animals, Guitar, and Daydreaming
Hates: People that litter
Awards: Greenest Girl Award, 2010
Favorite Music: Colbie Calliat
Favorite Color: Lime Green and Hot Pink (<--- Hayden's Note: Huh??)
Arrival Date: October 25, 2010

She sounds pretty normal, no physco things we should know about. Here's the following email:

Hi guys! It's your new Lanie, speaking to you live from my email inbox. Hee hee! I love to crack jokes. :) So, you guys live in Arizona? That's.... cool. I've never been the biggest fan of hot weather; it frizzes up my hair. I think that is the only part about me that is "girly". I'm very down-to-earth and I love everything about the earth! Except earthquakes. I hate those SO much that it's not even funny. <--- "It's not even funny" is my favorite quote/saying/thing ever. ^_^ I also love emotioncons so you will a lot of those in my email! I can be really random so that's why this is a very spazzy email that goes off topic a lot. :) My favorite show is Glee and I have officaily called Artie mine! He's mine... *growl* I have a big poster of all the Glee cast throwing slushies at the camera. I'm gonna bring it with me when I get shipped off. I'm going to hide it in my secret compartment. :) My "secret compartment" is this little hole I cut in my box. It was fun to make it and I can store a lot of stuff in there! Well, I can't wait to see you guys! Bye!

-Lanie

Hanna's parent shave decided that if Hanna comes up with half the money for the doll and other stuff, she can get her early. Luckily, Hanna babysits and happens to be the best one in the neighborhood. So, on Monday she got $28, Tuesday she got $49 (the parents were sponsoring a local benfit so they were gone for a while), and on Wednesday she got $35. So she has MORE than half and was able to get one more outfit. :D And, this Lanie sounds NOTHING like the one that tormented me and my friends. :DDD I love life right now. :)

Hayden

Where have I been?

I've been at school, home, getting ready for Lanie, and other things. Rebecca hogs the computer daily so I'm never able to get on. Hanna hasn't touched us since her sleepover and I've made sure to stay far away from Chloe. If you would ask any of us right now what we thought of our lives, all of us would say the exact same thing.

"Depression."

Hanna seems to be growing out of her dolls and we just sit there, looking at her while she texts her friends instead of playing with us. She goes on Facebook day and night and is forced off it by her parents. When she's not home, we look out the window to see her reading 'Teen Vouge' and 'Seventeen" with her friends on the grass. We also see her enjoying those last few days of warm out by the pool. But we never see her with us.

Hey Fidelity

Only I, Hayden Julia Marks, could get two songs stuck in her head at the same time and combine them into one song that actually sounds pretty good. I saw girloftheyearstudios video for Quinn's (go #44!) 7th AGMA assignment. The song was Hey Now Now by The Cloud Room. I loved the song so naturally, it got stuck in my head. I was just snooping around on YouTube when I found Fidelity by Regina Spektor. It's an awesome song so it ALSO gets stuck in my head. I have music problems times a gazillion.

Enough with the boring title talk, I have semi-exciting news and if you choose to read this is your choice. Today, Hanna had a sleepover with her friend. Hanna's friend also collects doll but she doesn't have as many because she just started back in 2007. Hanna's friend brought her customized JLY #36 with blue eyes and freckles. She's a really pretty doll but we also discovered that she's a snob. After meeting her, we all decided she would sleep in Rebecca's room. We luckily didn't have to provide an extra bed for her because she has her own sleeping bag. Once Hanna's friend got here, she put her doll in the doll room and left with Hanna.

"Hey guys," the doll spoke once Hanna and her friend were gone.
"Hi Chloe! How have you been over at your house," Julie asked her.
"Just. Great. I noticed you guys got another sister," Chloe replied. I had been standing in the corner so I'm surprised she even noticed me, "Hi! Who are you? I'm Chloe."
"Hayden Julia but just call me Hayden," I replied.
"That's a cool name! I like it more than my name. Chloe... yuck," Chloe told me. She seemed pretty nice and the other dolls weren't giving her tha cold shoulder or something so I took that as a good sign.
"I'm going to go my room," I told everybody but they didn't listen. All of them were talking with Chloe. I walked away towards my room. I pulled out my sketchbook to do some sketching. I was halfway done when Chloe walked in my room.
"Oh, hi Chloe," I said, whipping away my sketchbook.
"So, this is what the new doll's room looks like. This would've been my room, you do know that," Chloe asked.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. This. Would. Have. Been. My. Room."
"Umm, why would it be your room?"
"Well, ****** is already growing out of dolls. She really has no intrest in us now. She was going to give me to Hanna for $50. But, Hanna said that she didn't like me that much and her parents had already ordered her a doll for her birthday. You ruined my chances at living with a nice family," Chloe told me.
"I didn't ruin it. And what's wrong with your family?"
"What's wrong with my family," Chloe laughed. "Everything. Chrissa is a beotch in disgiuise. One time she locked me in a closet for 2 weeks. Jayden is no dumb blond. She always has plans on how to destroy me. She is a blond though so I always manage to outsmart her. And don't get me started on Caroline! That little #39 looks nice, sweet, and beautiful. But underneath that "cuteness" is a heart made of stone. She hates everybody, especially me. She always making remarks about my hair and how "ugly' it is. She says that ****** never wanted me. She says that she's ****** favorite doll. She always puts me down. She also collaborates with Chrissa on how to get rid of me. That's what's wrong with my family. And you, yes you, ruined my chances of getting a new one. So I offically hate you and I will do everything in my power to get rid of you," Chloe told me. And with that said, she walked out of my room. I sat there on my bed, shocked and stunned. How could I be the cause of her not getting a new family? She just needs to suck it up and deal with her horrible family. Th rest of the sleepover went smoothly until dinner. Felicity and Elizabeth had made hamburgers and hotdogs. I needed some ketchup and the closest doll to it was Chloe.
"Hey Chloe, can you pass me the ketchup," I asked her.
"Sure Hayden! Here you go," Chloe said passing me the ketchup. All of sudden, I was covered in ketchup.
"Oh no! The cap must have come loose when Chloe was passing it to you Hayden. Go clean up and put on a new shirt," Elizabeth said.
"Okay," I said. As I was walking away, I saw Chloe had an evil smirk on her face while nobody was looking. I put on a new shirt once I got to my room. I made my way back to the table and sat down in my seat. My food was cold and almost everybody was done. I was also really thirsty.
"Excuse me, I need to get a soda," I said to nobody.
"Here Hayden! Have this one," Chloe said passing a grape fanta to me.
"Thanks Chloe." I opened the top and purple soda came spewing out. It hit me right in the face.
"I'll be right back," I said before anybody could speak about this "accident". I canged into yet another shirt but I didn't come back down. The rest on the night went smoothly with no more accidents. Chloe didn't play anymore tricks on me but in the morning, she told me something that I would never forget.
"Watch out Hayden. My sisters are skilled at trickery and they're teaching me everything they know."

Hayden

I'm Not Just Happy, I'm Gleeful

Hanna is an avid doll collector. She has been collecting American Girl dolls since was 8 and since she has started, she has gotten 9 dolls in a span of 5 years. Marisol was her first doll, and I'm her newest doll. Hanna usually gets at least 2 dolls every year. It's weird having her getting me just now in August/September. But, I'm not going to be the lonely one like Savannah was. Because Hanna wants another doll.

Hanna consulted us the other day. We can't talk back to her because she doesn't know that we're alive as much as we can be. So we just sat and listened.

"Girls, I hope you have been nice to your sister Hayden, but now it's time to welcome another sister," Hanna said. "As you know, I only have 2 Girl of the Year's, Mia and Marisol. My parents said I could get one more doll this year for Christmas because they think I have enough. To end my doll buying, I have decided on getting Lanie Holland, GOTY 2010!"

I sat there in shock, wanting to scream out, "NO!! You can't get Lanie Holland!!" Back at the factory, I was teased by Rebecca. Once 2010 rolled around, Rebecca had a new recruit. Lanie Holland. They would torture us dolls and say they were better. If Hanna gets the exact same Lanie that teased me, I'll pack myself up and ship myself back to the AG factory. I just can't live with her.

"My parents have asked me to give them a presentation on why they should get this doll for me. I've come up with a couple reasons for the presentation," Hanna went on.

"One, I barely have any Girl of the Year dolls so Lanie Holland would certainly be welcomed. Two, her curls are just beautiful and I love her cute side bangs..." Hanna droned on an on about why she should get Lanie Holland. The reasons were actually pretty convincing after the first two. If I were Hanna's parents, I would get the doll for her. But then again, I'm Hayden, a doll that hates Lanie Hollands as much as Rebecca hates Target.

After Hanna's talk, all 9 of us got up to go talk about in Marisol's room once Hanna was gone. Most of the rooms here can only fit a maximum of 3 and a half dolls, but when Hanna made Marisol's room, she made it 3 times the size of all our rooms because she thought Marisol was going to be her only doll. She did that also because she thought she was going to have to put all her doll furniture she got in that room. This was the first time I had ever been in there so it was kind of a shock. The walls were painted a light purple and their were dance posters everywhere. Marisol's dance trunk sat in a corner. I found a nice, fluffy chair and sat it in it. Mia sat in the chair next to me. Felicity and Elizabeth, the two "mothers" of our group were at the front of the room.

"Alright girls, we want to know how you think of Hanna getting Lanie Holland. Raise two hands if you're happy about it, one if you're okay with it, and non and you just plain hate it.

Marisol, Mia, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Felicity and Savannah all raised both hands. Me and Katie raised one hand while Julie was the only one that didn't raise her hand. Julie was the 5th doll Hanna ever got. Every doll that Hanna got after her, Julie took it hard. Especially me since she would offically be the 'middle doll'. Nobody ever wants that because you're just kind of forgotten. With Lanie, Julie would still be the middle doll and that would stay the same since this was Hanna's last doll.

"You can put your hands down now girls. Thank you. You can all go now except for Julie," Elizabeth spoke. Everybody knows that if you don't like Hanna getting a new doll, then you, Felicity, and Elizabeth get to have a 'talk'. I don't knoe what happens, but I guess they tell you the upsides of having that new doll. I exited the room with Mia.

"Hey, why don't you want Lanie to come live with us," Mia asked once we were away from the room.
"Well, I'm not the most enthusiastic about Lanie coming to live with us I guess. Back at the AG factory, a Rebecca and Lanie would tease me almost every day so I'm kinda against Lanie's right now," I told her.
"Oh. Well, I didn't know that. Maybe we will end up with a different Lanie if Hanna's parents say yes," Mia replied, hope in her voice.
"Hopefully."

Hayden

Buh Buh Buh Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba

Guess what tonight is...

GLEE!!!!!

I bet you didn't know this but I LOVE Glee. Me and Claire would watch it on the worker's TV at the factory every Wednesday night. Since none of my sister's know about Glee, I am determined to get them hooked. It won't be hard with Mia and Savannah since their favorite song right now is Empire State of Mind and that's one of the songs playing tonight. The rest my sisters... eh. I'm going to have to rip Rebecca off the computer and chain her to the couch when we are watching it. Every night, Rebecca goes onto her favorite fashion blogs and reads the newest posts. Every. Single. Night. It will be a difficult task with Rebecca. I will make her stay while the other sisters take 20-minute "bathroom breaks" and go get a "snack". The other news is that tomorrow are show choir auditions. I've decided that I'm going to sing "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga. I've been practicing all weekend so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna nail it. Bad Romance is one of my favorite songs by Lady Gaga and I can't wait to sing it. I'm not going to have time to make a post tomorrow so wish me luck! Bye!

Hayden

School and Show Choir Club

Yes, school. School started for us dolls on the 6th of September, the day after I made my blog. Almost two weeks ago. Nothing exciting has really happened since it's only the first month of school. Since I'm in the 6th grade, I'm also in middle school. Middle school is possibly the scariest experience ever besides high school. And of course, there are the groups. There's the high-maintenance girls that have to check their hair every 5 minutes and freak out if there is a bug on the floor. Then the jocks. They are the ones that tell people to go to football games, baseball games, basketball games, etc, and play every sport out there. Finally, there's the populars. They walk around the school and people bow down to them. If they tell you to do something, you do it. In public, they are the nicest, sweetest, kindest people out there. But if you happen to get cornered by one of them, they will tell you every single thing that is wrong with you, and right with them. I avoid this group at all costs but that's kinda of impossible to do because they are everywhere. In your classes, the hall your on, the club you're in, everywhere. While we are on the subjects of clubs, I have joined our schools show choir club! Well, I joined, but I'm not exactly 'in'. Tomorrow are the auditions and on Friday we will find out who got into show choir. After that, we begin to have regular practices on every Wednesday afternoon. It would be Tuesday but Mrs. Ricardo watches Glee and she can never miss an episode. On November 20, we have our district competition to see who goes on to state, then regional, then nationals. There is sadly no 'world championship' although that would be quite awesome. :) Rebecca's yelling at me to get off the computer so she can look at the new Yves St. Laurent items for fall. That girl i-

Rebecca- It is I, Rebecca!!! The one and only Rebecca! Have any of you seen the new Coa-
